Cool...thanks Scott. Very excited and curious to here your results. Can you lend any creedance to the rumors (not necessarily here on 6speed) about the newer GTR blocks cracking?

A couple blocks have cracked at the 1100+ awhp level, but they were both sleeved, running different hardware and tuning, and a lot of torque relative to HP. My Switzer motor is not sleeved and will keep the TQ low so we'll see how it goes.

Until a Switzer built motor cracks, I don't think we can conclude that an inherent weakness exists.

its always the torque that causes motors to blow...

PyroKerry has a spectacular aura aboutPyroKerry has a spectacular aura about
Just took my '11 Turbo S up to Friday Test and Tune at Route 66 Raceway. My first time at a drag strip; had a ball. It was about 90degF and humid. My car has about 7,500 miles on it and is probably a little slower than stock as I've replaced the PCCB rotors with Brembo steel rotors. Running Yokohama AD08 street tires my first and fastest run was 11.13s (see timeslip - I'm #168)

That's awesome. Do you think with a negative DA and the PCCB rotors you could pick up 6mph? Does a sub-1.70 60ft translate to a 2.9 or quicker 0-60mph?

What made you decide to switch rotors?

hey its that 90 degree weather thats slowin you down. The launch is great and 99mph at the 1/8th is not bad too. You are only picking up 23mph on the back half which is when the car is really feeling heat. Hit the track when its 60-70 and not humid you will see 10s at 126+ guaranteed.
