I knew I was going to track the car a lot, and the steel setup is so much cheaper. yeah, I think the lower rotational weight would have made at least a .1 sec difference.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I had a run with a lower 60' time, but slower and a 1 mph lower trap speed. I think my intercooler was just getting a little hotter from run to run.

Hell, worse than that! I started the launch sequence too early so it cancelled! I had to let off the throttle, wait a bit, and start over. A track regular was helping me out and he warned me to just take my time and get the run right.

Yes, it's got GMG springs and heavier steel rotors; otherwise it's stock.

Running Yokohama AD08 street tires my first and fastest run was 11.13s (see timeslip - I'm #168)
Added. Nice job, Pyro.

60-130 is an important measure for some of us. For me its an important measure.

Some say its not important, say "be real man and go to dragstrip".

what are your thoughts?

I think 60-130 is a great performance indicator. Especially on some cars that are hard to launch. Like 911's.

TheCPE is on a distinguished road
Taking a car to a drag strip and running the 1/4 mile is fun but it is more fun to me to roll race.

And 60-130 times are more indicative of the vehicles power and performance in every day situations.

Plus it is much easier to make a fast 1/4 mile car than a street car that can consistently perform on the road and at the track.

1/4 is kinda old school to me. 60-130 is modern considering the high hp cars have these days.

I like to do whatever but from rolling,so your car doesn't get that much stress on the transmition, clutch, tires, chasis, etc, etc.

etc,etc,.....means..... i forgot,i forgot

Nice job, Heath!
TheCPE ran a 12.42 today with better air and better shifts, with the same mods. Nice job.
