It's hard to believe, but if you look at the material you'll understand why. The stuff is very thick. I was very annoyed to find out how heavy the hardware was. I also added the B&K sub-marine bracket which added another 5-6 per seat. ugh..

B&K has some replacement seat mounts, which should decrease weight, but you still need to mount them to the factory sliders...

Did you say they come in black leather?? Will they fit a new Z06??

In the video that Fayence posted, his Yellow CGT vs a yellow Z06, the z06 has leather GT3 seats fitted in it

It's a good thing you're getting rid of that extra weight Joe. That car was a dog! Good lord, couldn't get out of it's own way on Pima a couple of weeks ago.
