For those thinking of DIY plug change...
Just did the plug change for the first time this past weekend. This car is new to me as of Turkey Day 2005 and this is the first time I've really got to work on her. I feel comforable turning a wrench so was too worried when I read the different write-ups for this procedure. While another person would've been handy for removing the bumper, I was able to do it myself (it's not heavy) without scratching it; most write-ups suggest 2 people and I would agree, but it is doable with one.
There are a number of steps involved, but it is easy if you tackle it in little steps (bumper removal first, intercoolers, etc.). It was a little tricky removing the first intercooler, but once I figured it out, the second one was a piece of cake. The car runs noticable better with the new plugs. I'm at 20k miles.
I changed the plugs and oil/filter (plus removed all wheels and cleaned them) in about 5.5 hours total. Anyways, for those that were on the fence about doing this or not, I say go for it. It really isn't that bad. HTH.

I agree. It is quite rewarding to tackle a job like that. I did my plugs...twice, swapped out rotors and pads, bled brakes, installed Miltek exhaust and just finished installing Zero Clearance turbos by myself last week. Common sense goes a long way with these cars. Kevin

I think some of us talk ourselves out of a, in most instances, a simple step by step procedure that we can do out of fear of the unknown. I wish I had your skills and courage. I'm sure the feeling of satisfaction is almost as rewarding as nailing that zero clearance monster of yours. Zero clearance on a Gt2, makes you think, doesn't it?

I watched my mechanic do it once and now I can drop the myself if I have to... plugs, turbo swap, etc... no problem...
it is rewarding...
