My Semi-DIY 991 Audio Upgrade

I thought you guys might be interested in this since the GT3 shares the door panels, tweeter location, etc. I enjoyed the Burmester so much in my C2S, I couldn't live with the awful Sound Package Plus in the GT3. Rather than letting someone mess with my car, I decided to do it myself. The result is pretty awesome.

Matt

Jesus, that was quite a detailed write-up. Enjoyed every bit of it!

You are a nutter Matt!!! Very precise, detailed, super **** write-up man! ( I also saw some dirt/debris on your carpets and it looked like the drop light's extension cord was coming dangerously close to your paint! LOL)

Wow, that Rennlist thread is really incredible, basically killed my laptop loading the pics! Very impressive and an incredible build. Wondering if you've seen my thread? I have a bunch of questions and may get to them at a later time.
I found it very interesting that the 991 door panels don't secure with clips on the bottom like the 997 panels. That is huge pain on the 997.
After installing 6.5" woofers in my doors and switching to 8" woofers, there is no turning back. I'm sure the Dynaudios are very fine drivers though, plus you have a 10" sub.
Again, incredibly well documented. I've been in high end audio for a while, but have never done a high end car system. Mine worked out really well in my car, especially given it was a fraction of the cost. Again, great build.

Matt, you're a nut!!! Man, you wrote a really accurate, comprehensive, and extremely **** write-up! (I also saw some dirt/debris on your carpets, and the extension wire for the drop lamp appeared to be dangerously close to your paint! LOL)
