Thumbs up Well, my Ruf is going under the knife...

I know, I know...a Ruf should stay a Ruf and why not go for a 590 upgrade if I'm going to do it at all. Well, because Kevin at UM is the coolest guy ever, he lives 20 minutes away from me, and his stuff is 1/2 the price of the Ruf upgrades while delivering more power.

So, we shall see my friends...soon...in approximately 3 weeks, what an Ultimate RTurbo looks like

what does the RUF 550 package have? turbos, exhaust, DVs, filter, ECu upgrade, etc.
Do you know what turbos they are using on that package? k24 hybrid? RUFs figures are usually conservative because they use different dyno techniques( for a lack of a better word).
also, which turbo combo are doing with Kevin... I had his Stage 5 ZC with the billet WGs last year...
good luck,
markski

Although I find Kevin's products up there in the top I must admit that what you're doing makes no sense at all and you're messing up a super exclusive car. Just my opinion but I had to say it, sorry.

Will these upgrades not make it a 'Ruf' any longer?

I hope you plan on keeping it....I suspect future buyers looking at a Ruf VIN # car will go running when they find out its been modded by a tuner...JMHO

Well said Doc. JMHO too! There is so much tribal knowledge within the Ruf organization...I find it difficult to understand how anybody could do it better than Ruf...

Cheers

I am really surprised to hear this. A Ruf VIN'ed car going under the knife at another tuner.

But it's his car and the man could do whatever he wants to do.

All the best silversurfer.

One of the craziest things i have heard on the forum since it's inception unless the value of your car means absolutely nothing and money grows on trees in your backyard!

You just ruined the value of having a RUF-Vin-built car by bastardizing it for some more power that is so hard to find use for anywhere besides a track.

If money does grow on trees in your backyard please PM me your address ASAP and I will be more than happy to help your pick it!
