Europipe

First of all I am not a granny! I had 69 GTO Conv and 67 comaro etc with Thrush mufflers, headers the works and did not bother me at all. I have driven in a 97 C4S with a B&B mufflers talk about resonance, you could not even think in that car. As for Fabspeed I have heard them and driven a car with them and did not care at all for their sound or resonance. That is what I do not want. I figured if I said no resonance I would get some good answers. Ken your car sounds great and I truly appreciate your straighr forward answer to my question that was what I was looking for. A little resonance you can control alot makes things more difficult and you are working to keep the RPMS out of the resonance range. Thanks everyone!

Yes Dyno results please???

Arnie didn't disclose if his car was modded or not. By simply adding europipe (which I had, as well as Dario) comprable to the stage II, Dario's dyno results was a gain of 5 HP.

So Chad, here is a to yours bud.

Arnie is not going to get a significant HP gain from it. And if you think otherwise.....as you quoted gary..." Dyno results please"?

However, on the otherhand, If Arnie's quest is sound driven, then I agree, I did like the way Europipe (Back then known to me as ROock) sounded, especially at WOT.

BTW, This was an answer to Arnie's question: "IS there anybody out there who had the Europipe and hated it or switched to something else because of poor sound, poor quality, etc"

- Answer: Yes, Me - becaues of lack of HP.

Gary,

I did post my results on Rennlist about a year ago. Fabspeed also had my S Car Go dyno sheets on their website.

Actually, I just browsed Scargo's website in search of the dyno results. I failed to find it. Can you pease send me the link to they dyno sheet. Perhaps it is just me, but amongst all the uploaded pictures of the "killer angel supercar," I must have missed the dyno results. Can you please send me the link.

Thanks

Sorry Arnie... just razzing you!

Most every one here love the EP2 Loud. I was just bringing up the point that there is a EP2 QUIET version available. I'm sure veteran hot rodder like yourself would appreciate the LOUD version. It's a "mature" loud.

In the Imagine Auto muffler comparison test there is an error. The Torque at 4000 RPM is 100 ft lbs. too low in the chart and graphs.
Also the average torque number is too low. The H.P. graph is OK. Below 4500 RPM the Europipe made much more torque than stock. at 4500 and higher it was approximately equal to stock.

Too bad Corvair turbo mufflers won't fit. They're quiet, free flowing, and cost about $20 each.

Ebaker, was that on TUned or Untuned?

Arnie: Is your car modded now, if not, any plans to?

I think most will agree that buying just an exhaust system for performance is far fetched, it is mostly for sound and looks, just my $.02.

Dyno results on stock TT from EP site:
Stage1 Exhaust
+14hp
+7Nm
+5Lb/ft

Stage2 Exhaust
+18hp
+26Nm
+19Lb/ft

KPV verified the legitimacy of the results claimed by EP. He dynoed before and after install for comparison.

You are comparing two completely different products. Both you and Dario had the ROOCK branded Europipe which did not incorporate 100 cell cats.

Arnie, if you are looking for a quality exhaust with an exotic sound, that makes good low/midrange power, go for the EuroPipe.

If you are looking for a headache, and a "thumbs up" from the ricers, go for the Fabspeed.

JMHO ofcourse.

Fabspeed produces the most power, period! I did inquire about Stage II Europipe with Imagine (WITH RACE CATS) and was advised to stay away as it "takes away power." Case in point.

Just passing that along.

If you want more exotic sound - fine, go with europipe. If you want an exhaust that will produce the most power, fabspeed.
Stephen at Imagine Auto has proven this.

Okay, we will go on Stephen's view.. Oh, by the way before I bought my EP I inquired to Stephen about it since he had one on his car at one time and he told me it was a very good exhaust and he would not hesitate to put one on..

If his car is not modified as you stated above no exhaust will make much of a difference anyway. So pick the one with the sound and quality you like best.. IMHO of course...

Wrong again.

I'll make it easy for you since you have trouble understanding Stephen's test results. Look at the URL below, Stephen has clearly shown that the Europipe made more power than the Fabspeed in the low/mid RPM range. This is where most people are able to use the power.

Europipe

No offense taken Zippy, I love low and midrange power because driving around in NJ that is really all that matters. From the Dyno charts Europipe makes the most power around 3000rpm. As for modding I have the Upsolute chip. Will do headers later. I have a limited budget because I am on the prowl for a 1973 S Thanks all for your comments that was exactly what I was looking for

Wrong again you are. HP is more important up top.

Who cares at lower RPM. BOttom line is if you race two cars side by side in a 1/4 mile or 1 mile race, the one with the fabspeed would win.

Sure the europipe has great looking construction, great welds, etc. etc.... What about power. End of discussion.
