I have never driven a GT700 GT2. I have driven a 2001TT at Road Atlanta with about 530HP. This was my track car before I bought a Cup Car.
If you would like to see me do better in a GT700, lets pick a test day with Kinetix later this year. I'll let Cleve drive my Cup Car and I will drive his GT2. We can make arrangements beforehand regarding damage due to overrevs or accidents.
If Cleve does not have data acquisition, I would suggest a simple AIM system which I think installed is $3K or so. This would provide good data to him in the long run even for DE use.

Wow just when I thought this thread was dead!
Now we are talking. Do you have the title on your GT2 handy?
KSS has several track days. In fact there are a few in about 2 weeks.
Here is what I suggest, that we each take 10 or 12 laps in each car and average the best 5 laps in each car then average each car's average. Winner takes both cars home.
Or, we can make it friendly, and take some video and share with everyone, then get a beer.
I have already said your CAR should be faster than a Cup Car. If you get lessons from Nic then mission accomplished.

Cleve: It seams to me that guys like RSR Racer think that it's easy to drive a high powered street car and make it turn in decent times. It's not. A 1:35 at RAt is a damn decent time. Rick Gilhart who has a maybe comparably tricked out 996tt ran a 1:29 down there so sure, Cleve could go faster but I don't think he said it was as quick as his car could be driven.
In RSR's defense, if you look at the PCA race results, about 26 of 42 mostly Cup cars were below 1:35 so I agree he would be beaten by most well driven cup cars. Then again, maybe if Cleve was up against better competition he might "turn the wick up", who knows.
Finally, I agree with RSR's lessons and data acquistion suggestions, we could all get better.

OK great. I'll buy the beer (after the event
)
Let me check my schedule and I will PM you. I will try to get video in my car so we would both have something to share.
I think KSS has a track day on the 14th and 15th in the PM?

September 14 or 15? Should work for me. I'll have the new intercoolers installed by then and some additional programming good for 744lbft of torque at the wheels...is that cool with you? Hopefully my clutch wil survive the latest injection of TQ.

P.S. Why is Rennlist so uptight? I merely started posting (actually I have been a memeber over a year) after seeing a video that was posted of my car at a drift event. I came in to respond to some commments calling me a moron for drifting a GT2 and all hell broke loose...are these guys really that sensitive or I am I the sensitive one?

There are a lot of people over there who are of low character. I have heard it referred to before as the mutual *** licking society.
There are some decent people, but too few to be worthwhile in my book. Don't sweat it Cleve.
