Thoughts on Wheel Selection

It has happened again... This board is costing me more cash!!

Now that I have seen Shanks new wheels I have to have the anodized black centers.....

So should it be 542R's again or 545R's or 547R's... With polished lips....

I'm leaning towards the 547R's (split 5 spoke)

My 19" 8.5 front, 11.0 rear 542R's brushed and polished are available..

Don't you just love the tough choices though...

If you are going with the black anodized centers I would go for the 545's or the unlisted 543's (my choice).

Not a big fan of the 547's, but I have never seen them in person... and since you already have the 542's I would be looking for something different.

Think your going to have these in time for the Orlando meet???

I was told by a reliable source that 543's do not look that good with a black center and I don;t want to clean 540's. I was thinking about them until then...

Gary,

I thought your were tired of the maintenance issues with HREs? IMO, if you're going to do black wheels (which you should), go for an entirely new wheel altogether. Maybe get the Techarts and save some $$$$. If you go with HREs again, maybe get brushed lips - easier to maintain and less bling.

No brushed lips....When someone picks up my 542Rs (anyone?) I intend on ordering a set of 841Rs with CHROME instead of high polished lips - easier to maintain that way.

I'm having 19" black 543's built as we speak for a Cobolt blue GT2. I'll let you know what I think.
