(I know, I know, it's a *big* step from 9's to 8's. I'm only about 1% serious)
(but if we ever see an 8-second timeslip, I still get rep points, m'kay?)

Regardless, there is no 9 second run unless it is proven, which it hasn't been. The monster car that Todd Knighton built can certainly do it, it does not mean there was a 9s run. So far the fastest car in the quartermile is the EVOMS GT800 the rest is BS, I do have a run from Alex's car showing trap speed beyond the 140mph achieved by EVOMs, which proves that the HP is there on the Protomotive car, and that is enough for me to say that the engine is up to the task.
Markski, the task to beat the 10s is in your hands now.

I'm not trying to be on anyones side... I agree that it can't be official unless you have proof. What I can say though is that he called me a minute after the 1/4 pass to tell me that he did it. I do not think he made it up.
just my thoughts,

Rest assured, some of the cars that are up on blocks, not running, are running somewhere. It's not important enough to me to pry as to who does exactly what, but if someone did tell me what they've done, I wouldn't share it here. I'll let them tell their own stories.
