Post Fluids

I have looked into this recently and confirmed that the M/T fluid, Differential fluids are the same. You can buy the appropriate fluid from the dealer, the factory fill is a mobil product that is not sold in the United States (Mobilube PTX). I called Mobil customer service to inquire about the product and they are not familiar with it. The Mobil 1 75/90 gear oil that is commonly sold everywhere is not the same product. The Mobilube product is a special formulation for Porsche transmissions. Make sure you order replacement crush washers for all the plugs, they are inexpensive ($.50 USD or so each), I ordered all my parts from Sunset Porsche in AZ. Here is the information from the factory manuals. I have asked around and no one seems to have a difinitive answer as to what can be substituted from factory. I used the factory fill oil (Mobil 1 0W40) and the shell product below for the transmission. I wanted to use the Mobil product but it only comes in the 20 liter size.

1. Transmission oil SAE 75W-90 for manual transmission front-axle drive (C4) and rear axle final drive (Tiptronic transmission):

Hope this helps.
