Barrett-Jackson Automobile Auction on Speed Channel Right now

The Barrett-Jackson Automobile Auction is on the Speed Channel right now. It is channel 607 on Direct TV. They are currently auctioning off Callaway Corvettes. One guy has bought the last three for a total of $450,000 so far.

I have been watching it too. The highest one was a Lincoln Zephyr hotrod for 400K. Saw a Inca Silver 54corvette. What a color.

Here's a picture I found of Ted. He's the bald dude with the ponytail at the left of the picture. When the GT500 sold, my wife said, "who would have guessed the serial killer would be buying that car!". I'm like, "I think that's Ted Waitt!"

The classic american market is so strong, the nicest car IMO to sell there was the 67 Vette blue convertible 427/435 for $135k, that car was beautiful.

Can someone explain me why the Lincoln sold for such high price? I really didn't get it!

btw, they are at 11 700 000$$$ last time I checked...
