Sounds like one of the hose ends slipped out. It's hard to get the big hoses pushed fully into place. Be sure the retaining spring wire clips are fully down in their grooves. Make sure the hose ends are pushed in and latch with an audible click.

the intercooler connections are tight. I made sure they are in all the way. ill make sure again. in genral since I installed the plugs theproblem has to be one of the components that were taken apart and reassembled. that's what my logic tells me. however I still can't find the problem.

Plugs will not cause idle hunting...no matter how out of specs they are. You would get a misfire if the problem was with the plugs. If a plug was physically broken, you would get a misfire and hear the exhaust from the broken plug. Did you disconnect the battery anytime during your installation?

no I did not disconnect the battery at any point. I agree with you and other members about it not being related to the plugs.

pull on the hoses on the bottom of the ICs... see if they slip off....
run the car without the bumper at night so you dodnt have to take it off again.. get on it and you should find out very quickly of the problem went away....
