Sticker front plate??
I wonder if a good print shop could scan a license plate, slightly reduce the size and print it on some kind of weather resistant sticker material, this could then be applied to the front bumper, it would put no holes in the bumper, be very stream line and should fool the cops, anyone ever try this?
Or, have someone airbrush an exact copy of your plate onto the front bumper, over a peice of 3M clear bra of course, that would also look clean and fool the cops.

I've driven w/o front plates on my M5 and Turbo for quite a while and have never gotten stopped for it. If you are getting a ticket for something else, they might add it on but i doubt they will stop you for that alone.

Obviously we advocate plateless fronts.
However, if you check your state's laws on front plate requirements, or have a lawyer friend do it for you, you may find this is playing with fire. Not only would the local officials nail you for no plate (technically, not a plate) but they'd haul your butt in on fraud for attempting to duplicate the plate, even if it was registered to you.
Some years ago an attorney on one of the boards thought about doing this, even applying it to the windshield (!) since the laws of his state did not specify where on the front of the car the plate had to be.
