you ran 265 on 10" or 11" rears for your hollow spoke? do they make 10" hollow spoke oem?

I've saw 265 winter tires on 11" hollow spoke. They works but has to be very careful when wheels more than tires. But I think your biggest problem is your TA front rather than 265 or 295 tires. You sure you have enough front clearance to go thought NY winter?

I use the recommended winter rear width of 265 - they work fine - I run all winter in New England with them

so damon, will my p-car be a really expensive snow sled if i run 295s in the winter?
OK, I admit it, I was the guy on crack.

I thought we had them as well but replied to you before I looked hard enough. Sorry about that. I thought for sure they were Continental's we had in 295, not Pirelli - so sorry for the confusion.

295 is still REALLY wide in the snow. A 295 snow tire will give better ice traction than the OE tires, but will still float pretty good in deep snow. I still believe a 10" wheel and a 265 tire works much better. But if you don't want to buy new wheels, the 225/235 fron and 295 fits great.

angldrkns9 try this http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp , i already did my research on Winter tires and i dont think 265 will fit a 11" Wide wheel, 10.5" At the most

As for how will 295 Handle in snow, well i knwo for sure its going to be much much much more safer than 295 SUMMER TIRES, jokes..

Well there is a reason they are they and Porsche approved, so i think 295 Should be fine. If they are "Porsche Approved" i think it should not a issue.
