Boost Gauge Poll.
I don't have a strong preference, but maybe just to correlate
it with the stock display, and to compare it to other's stock
displays, I'd choose the BAR unit. The chief desire I'd have
would be to ensure the new unit was accurate to two
decimal places if possible, and maybe had a one-minute
recording feature like the old telltale tachs, so yo could do
a run and then play back the boost as it changed...

Mike, I have a question about AWE gauges.
First, I will answer your question. I think psi would have its advantage as more increments could be seen (ie, 1 psi increments up to 22 psi vs. .1 bar increments up to 1.5 bar) and this could help to see exactly how much boost is being made. However, nowadays, this is all already controlled by the ECU and everyone knows how much boost they are going to make.
With that in mind, I would say it should be in BAR. First, it flows with the electronic dash display and secondly, i believe I read somewhere the general trend is that europe (germany) states boost in bar, and the imports (japanese) state boost in PSI.
I know, pretty complex answer,
Here is my question for you. I currently own an Audi (sorry for the thread hi-jack) and noticed the new TT vent gauge. I really like that gauge you use as it flows with the factory setup and I was wondering if you would be able to get either, Air Fuel, EGT, or oil temp gagues made by the same company? Or do they already produce them? I plan on purchasing the boost gauge from you but was also looking for an EGT gauge or A/F gauge (that is my preference) but on oil temp one would also be good.
Thanks for any help.

I like to see the boost gauge MOVE. In my suburnan - my Autometer gauge mooves from about 20 Lbs Vacume to 11 Lbs boost. Call me crazy, but I enjoy seeing that thing move in large increments. If one had an analog gage that went up to 2.0 bar, I guess the needle would be moving around just as much. Watching a digital read-out go from 0 to 1.4 is a little boring thoug.

First off, thanks for the input.
To answer your Audi question, they do make them. The problem is that there really is not enough of a demand to do the others. The gauges are custom made in the backlighting that we want, but we have to order a large quantity for them to fill the order.
I wish it was easier, but it never is.
If you like, send me an email. I will then send you an email with the Audi TT vent gauge instructions. It will give you an idea what the install looks like. It's really simple.
