POLL: Oil Consumption

I was interested in how often every has to top up the oil. I figured the best (easiest) way would be to base it on fill-ups until you're oil gauge is down 1 bar (1/4L) of oil. I'm guessing every 4th fill up with gas I my gauge is down 1 bar. How does yours compair?

I think I probably go from 4-5 tanks of gas before needing another quart of oil. So, I probably use 1/4 liter or less per tank of gas.

I may have been a lttle high with the 4 tanks vote. I agree, that when driving hard, 4 tanks is too high.

Westwood is infamous around these parts
Half tank fill up, 3/4 tank fill up ???? Believe it or not I went approximately 7,000 miles before it needed a quart to top it off. I was beginning to wonder if the guage worked but it finally began to drop slowly after 5,000 miles. It's time for a change and put it to bed until spring.

I'm in Riverbend.

Also, i'd say I consume at least a quart of oil for every 1000kms, if not more. The car is up to 3000kms, and I've poured 4 quarts of oil into it now. I was getting kind of worried but hearing that the rest of you guys consume as much oil as me is very re-assuring.

Awsome! Another Edmonton member! I'm in Westbrook. We're close. That new engine should slow down on oil consumption a little as it breaks in more
