haahaaa.. yeah, ive been in tom's x50. The salt hasn't eaten any holes in it and the suspension isn't rusting off either, he tracked it all summer too and it still looks and drives like new. Stop being a bunch of sallys

Your car would be fine in the snow. I did it for three years with and without snow tires. It can take it, but with the TT I might just pick up a winter beater instead. Tires/rims were always a freakin' hassle. You'll spend minimum 2-3k on rims and tires before you get done, plus you gotta store 'em someplace, that's the price of a beater or a season rail ticketx5. I'll never do the snow tire thing again.

Im so glad I moved from Chicago to CA
I used to have a '88 535is. In the winter I had 2 sand bags in the trunk, pirelli snow tires and did 4 wheel drift hot laps around the neighborhood when I was bored
That was fun. A buddy bought a civic and studded tires. We went to some lakes in Michigan and ice raced, 80mph, drifting it was hysterical but I sure learned allot about car control.

I'm thinking of using stock rims for the winter since they're already curbed and not that special, and getting customs for the rest of year...

Shocker but true
Living in the same City as Pierre the TT is actually not that good in either deep snow or on ice despite 4WD; I regularly have to reverse out of my garage in mid winter even with winter tyres on
As far as I know, nobody makes a snow tire that will fit that rim. You'll have to go to 18's and the widest they make is a 265 in a snow. (stock TT comes with 18x11j, a 265 will not fit properly)
