I don't doubt that the car has a Sachs clutch in there, but here's an old thread regarding the exact same issue reported over 2 years ago...

maybe its still stock?
With all due respect that is a pretty sharp acusation to make. This car has a Sach's Racing Clutch that I provided Carlos with a receipt for. Installed by Roger at Orbit Racing. This is the same Clutch that CJV had in his car at the time because he gave me the part numbers when I ordered it from the Racer's group. I experienced this problem when it was first installed but had not experienced for quite some time. I was told that this clutch could handle up to 700Hp when is was purchased. I have never worn out a clutch in my life and my other clutch which had a stage 4 on it for 12000 miles did not show any wear at all.

Duane, Im just looking at the symptoms thats all.. thats exactly what happened to mine... except it was a stock clutch... it was shot...
I read the thread and even Stephen said it may be due to improper break in... and or other factors... BTW- I had the same clutch the GT3RS version.
either way, something is wrong with it... and Carlos is trying to figure out whats going on...I guess he should have contacted you privately... Like I said, Im just looking at the symptoms....

Duane and I have been in touch privately since my original post (which was done at a Starbucks on my blackberry right after I started experiencing the problem). He's the one that provided me a link to the original post he made over 2 years ago.

I'll try to get a more specific understanding of the nature of the issue but it doesn't seem to be happening in the lower gears. I will see what it does in 5th next weekend (which hopefully will be a dry, sunny one).

When my OEM clutch was shot, it always stunk the place out in 1st and second.

Is it possible that the mechanism that permits the above to occur be faulty and cuase a situation that appears to be a slipping clutch?
