Evoms does have the fastest "publically posted" time in the quarter mile for
a 996TT. It would help all of us if Alex would post some of his time slips.
(Including his old 993TT). As for the Viper, it is just as much "hearsay"
that it ran 8.91 @ 153 on slicks and skinnies. It may or may not have.

Don't try to turn this around on me to produce proof. Go over to Viper Alley, you'll find that 8 and 9 second TT Vipers (with proof) are quite common. Surely, even you have enough sense to know that TT Vipers will out accelerate 996TTs.

As far as VR's car, all I've seen is a bunch of empty claims, that's it, nothing more. So let's go with proof and not "hearsay" as you so eliquently put it: The black Viper at the track with us ran 10.57 @ 143 PROVEN, my GT2 has run 10.77 @ 131 PROVEN. VR's car ran on a grainy *** video at night with no numbers PROVEN, and what the hell was that 993TT video? What does that show? It seems awfully convineient that the clip cuts out right before the time shows...(things that make you go hmmm )

While we're at it what have YOU run in YOUR car since you like so much to brag on the (non) accomplishments of others.

Like I said I'll race VR's 996TT at our track day on 12/2...enough said, I don't want to hear eany excuses, that gives him (and his cheering section) plenty of time. I guarantee I'll win...PERIOD!!!!

Now find me some proof of his car running even faster than mine or STFU!!

oh...BTW...Santa Claus doesn't exist either

Totally. If you don't post a timeslip then STFU. If you have a quick car, post it up and it's all good.

So you are saying you will beat him on a road course track or dragstrip? You do realize how fast Scott's car was correct? And that Alex's car is in another world from that correct?

As far as i see it, Alex doesnt have a fan base because he is crazy, rich, well known or w/e, but for the fact that his 996TT in the underground world is the fastest their is and absolutely insane, might be "hearsay" to you and some people but rather then you just saying that why dont you call him up or try contacting him , why the subliminal messages hidden in post's where he probably does not check, i dont get it? And if you have contacted him i appologize!

You can't have bragging rights without proof...PERIOD!!

I'm sick and tired of hearing about this mystery mobile. You guys should not follow so blindly and demand proof from him like you do from me and EVOMS.

POST PROOF OR STFU!!!!

Hey guys, for whatever its worth- Ill go to the track as soon as I get the car... I have maybe one more month b4 they close the track...
I know Alex has some reservations because he keeps braking the axles... well I will have mine very soon. The car is on the road being tuned as we speak...
I have the same set up except the heads- I have GT3 race heads...
As long as they don't throw me out Im definitely going...
Its NOT a NHRA sanctioned track... and they dont prepare it like they do over in AZ- but Ill take it either way... the trick is to do the Joliet international speedway- but that will never happen...
No need to call each other out... We know that Scott's car at 1.3 bars of boost ran 10.6... Alex has 300 rwhp more.... but that still does not excuse him from not showing the slip.
I think he can do a HIGH 9 second pass... but thats just my opinion.
best,
markski

Joe,
Money buys speed right? so you win??

My challenge to you is come to my track and beat me (3 mile road coarse, much better representation
of "Worlds fastest 996TT" capabilities). You beat me and I pay for your trip home.
Here is my proof of what my little PSI 480 kit has done.
http://www.fasteddiesgarage.com/lstflg06.htm

The only guy that beat me is Luis Jr's, Father (in a GT2!)

cheers,
and by the way, We all want to see Alex's timeslips,
but I think his dyno runs tell us a little bit about power.

MK

Marty - do you guys ever use that time adjusting software/ranking system. It adjusts cars based on year / power / handling / mods so all competitors are equal coming out of the gate. For example, on an adjusted basis, I would assume the guy right behind you in the 1994 NA 968 would have been miles ahead of you. Comments?

edit - I think it's called the PAX system.

Zippy,

The local Porsche club does not use a Pax system and yours is a fair question
on the surface. The car that was just a tick slower than me is a factory
Porsche 968 CS (Clubsport), gutted, 1 racing seat, fully adjustable race suspension, well driven @ about 2750 lbs. what kind of 3500 lb street car
should be expected to beat him. Have you guys ever run against a well set-up 944 Turbo trailered track car ??? they are a force to be reckoned with.
You may have made note of the (stage two GIAC) 996TT that I beat by
four seconds per lap.
almost everyone there was astounded that me/my car could keep up with the fastest run group. For tracking I would definitely take a 944 Turbo which has been lightened with good suspension work over our Porky 996TT's,
there is just no comparison.

Marty K.
