Just about to go through with this. Any last minute thoughts on the issue? Illm3 and usctrojanman, I know you guys did it a while back, any regrets or things to think about before going thru with it? Should I just get the front drive shaft disconnected first or is this a waste of time? I live a couple of hours away from the shop so it would be 2 big trips instead of one. TIA
I would have the front driveshaft disconnected to see how you like it. My thoughts? It totally transforms the car, the feel and so on. Even with the driveshaft disconnect its instantly different feeling, sounds crazy but its true. See how you like it first then go from there, traction issues should not be an issue one bit.

Ditto what Ill said. The front drivetrain gets 5% of the torque at all times so you will feel more power as well.
I don't feel the need to remove all the components. It will save 130lb, but removing the driveshaft is reversible in 15 mins.

I will be taking it to the drag day event, dec 2nd here and should be able to get some #'s for everyone.

Unfortunately it is raining pretty hard and there is zero traction, but I did notice that the steering feels lighter... and that was backing out of the garage. Took 35 min start to finish. Give it a shot. As for the difference for your drag day, I am running AWD and RWD tomorrow...same car, same dyno, same day. I will give you pretty hard numbers on the difference tomorrow. Kevin
