Question About Sport Seats

OK, bought a driver side sport seat on ebay for $123, and I'm going to use it as an office chair, and want to power it up using a battery to move the thing around.

I know the thing runs on 12V DC, but does anyone know how much current it pulls? I know the fuse is 30A, but I'm sure the actual power requirement is lower.

Ha....I was watching that same chair. I am sure it is not a ton of amperage since they are small motors.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it actually sold for that. And its in great shape too other than the seatback needs painting.

I was out of town at the time, and told me wife to bid $500, which I also offered to the seller four days before the auction ended.......but he was SURE he would get $800-$900.....too funny.

I don't think its that easy since I'm not using the fuse. Battery has 600 Amps, the seat needs somewhere less than 30.

Plus, the idea is to have a permanent solution with a small battery attached to the frame of the chair, so each user can adjust it.
