kwvariant coilovers vs. jic cross
Hey...
i track the car maybe once -twice a year.
i do alot of spirited driving and always notice the car is soft and bouncy because its still stock. i feel like i have to slow down in certain turns just because the suspension is soo soft and bouncy.
i want to drop the car 3/4 - 1 inch..
adjustablity is important too...
firmer ride is needed however still retaining a descent level of comfort. This is my daily driver.
i want performance out of the setup for when i take my sharp turns. i need less bodyroll.
which coilover suspension is better.
kwvariant of jic cross. i had my eyes on the jic cross for a while now...
but want to know which is better in terms of quality of ride, performance... how many of you guys are satisfied/had experience with either or.
last question: to go along with this setup which sway bars should i get.
rear, front, both? why so?
which brand is best. hnr? gt2 gt3?
any input is appreciated
thanks in advance!

coilovers
I have KW V3s on my car and love them, I run a shop in San Diego and have my choice of suspension companies I can go with. JIC was also on my list as well. I went with KW since ride comfort was important to me, the performance is great. Motons I would be another great choice- On the swaybars I am running GT3 modified swaybars--- Best of luck JOE

Air, for what you said you intended use is I would just go with the PSS9's and a GT3 rear swaybar. That is all you need.
The PSS9's, H+R's, JIC's and KW's are all street entry level setups that are economical and good enough for 90% of the TT owners.
It is ridiculous to mention motons as if they were "just another choice"
Motons, JRZ's and ohlins are nitrogen cannister setups that are the best of the best and for the hardcore track guy while retaining very good streetability.
For example the full setup with install and sways etc for JIC would be close for $4000 while motons (camber plates, helper springs, sways etc) would be $8000.
So ah for one or two track days look at the price and what they are for and then decide.

tom..thanks.
from what i read and undertand the jics are better than the pss9's..so i guess for a few dollars more i would go for the better setup. for the most part i have been hearing only good things about the jics.
i was curious to get feedback on the kwvariants.
one forum member posted pics and great feedback alittle while back..
just wanted to know if thier were more out thier.
also in regards to rear sway bar.
what is the difference between an hnr rear sway bar and gt3.
which one is better and which one needs adjustments.
thanks!

I was just in Tom's (Topgun) turbo tonight with the JIC's, car handled and felt AMAZING compared to mine with H+R's which was way stiffer and bouncier!
JIC's are also way better then PSS9's IMO, you cant go wrong with KW's or JIC's, both are night and day on the turbo and great quality!

i think ill go for the jics.
would jic coilovers + hnr rear sway bars be a good choice?
in addition to reducing body roll and dialing out understeer, do rear sway bars affect comfort?
thanks.

totally agree with ^^^^illM3
The GT3 sway bars are hollow and much lighter. the H+R's are a little thicker and heavy so I went with the GT3. Just my 2 cents.
sways have nothing to do with comfort, I think its all about the total setup and how the car handles
You will be VERY happy with the JIC's
