'02 Turbo issues?

I am planning to purchase a '02 TT sometime soon. Are there any known issues with the '02? It has 40k kms on the clock. Anything in particular i should be looking for?

Get the X50 package if you can. Better turbochargers, intercoolers, etc. This was a $23,000.00 (Cdn. Funds) option at the time. It should be approximately a $5000.00 premium now. Now there's some good value.

Ready to move up to TT , My TT is 02 without any problem so far. Other than X50, find one with CPO warranty if you can. Which TT are you particular looking at? Let me know if I can help!

x50 is only good if you will not be modifying your turbos moving forward. Otherwise, a car without it is just fine.

Hah... I figured you'd know this guy Ray. I knew when I saw the "YYZ" in his name. Are there any P-Car drivers in the GTA that you don't know???

I'm also in the boat looking for a 02+ TT. I dont mind a modded car. Other than the 2nd gear issue I haven't read anything significant that I should look for particularly with this year.

PM me if you see any "good" deals!

I'm opening up a new business in Dubai (actually I am currently here, just setting up everything, house, car(s) etc), so will be spending a lot of time in Dubai, thus planning to buy the car here. I have the 6er in Toronto (sold the C4S), and I have decided to get a TT. I was thinking about a 997 TT, but with all the start up costs, I will hold that purchase for later.

I havent seen any TTs with the X50 package here, maybe I will just wait for one. But the regular TT I drove seemed good enough for me. All the used Porsche's here are sold with CPO warranty, so I am covered.

Let's see how the search goes.

I still love the white 997 TT I saw the other day on Front St.
