I have been struggling over 997s and 996TT I know I won't be satisfied with 997 power after a while and probraly will end up spending a small fortune to match the 996tt which I don't want. I think I am more incline to the 996TT does anyone know if there is nicely equipped TT for sale, prefer members from here with good conditions and low mileage. I've done some research on ebay and decided it's more safer if I purchase one from a reputable 6speed member.

That would have been a great choice, although it appears it sold.

I love my 997, and got bored quickly with the power (obviously). I like the chassis and exterior, and love it with the supercharger, but I'm getting bored again, and there's really nowhere to go from here with a 997. For people like me with mod ADD, a 996tt would be a lot more fun.

Thank you for the input, he has way too many options than I wanted it, but I sent him a pm, thanks again.

Precisely why I traded my '05 Carrera S in on my '03 turbo. I could have put a lot of money into the S (over $20K) but it would never have had the hp potential that the turbo has. Plus, the prices are dropping and I got a really good deal on a car with only 7K miles. Revo software, new exhaust, plenum, and a K&N and I'm ready to go. All this installed for under $10K, you can't beat that.

Members of this forum change cars like most people change underwear. If you keep an eye on the for sale section long enough you are bound to find a car you want, with the options you want. Also, most Turbo guys will tell you once you feel the boost theres no looking back.

After LAPD carashed into and totaled my 02 turbo, my insurance company paid me a considerable amount more than what I paid for it. So, it was time to go shopping for a new car. At the time the 997S came out and I went to go drive one and from the moment I started the thing up I realized there is no substitute...for a turbo. I drove that 997S for a block before I turned it around and brought it back to the dealer. Started looking for another 996 turbo right away and I was lucky to find one from a 6speed member.

My suggestion, go drive both cars and it won't take much to realize the turbo is so much more fun to own. Even when I don't drive it, it still puts a smile on my face when I go into my garage.

Went through this...drove a 997S, then a 996TT x50. I had a 993TT, then a 996 Cab and realized that I wanted to go back to the turbo...There is no substitute for HP.
