props to promotive and all who participated. I think that this shootout was the beginning of the way performance modifications should be measured: face to face, head to head. This will, I hope bring further gatherings of tuners to promote their product and show people what they are really getting. This has been a very enjoyable process and can't wait to get a hold of the article. Also, looiking forward to next time...
I will try not to sound like a favored boxer that just got beat. My congratulations go out to all the fine cars that showed up and the top 3 contenders. However, you all probably know by now that the Stage 5 car had serious problems with the intake hoses blowing off during every event. From the Dyno, to the track, to the quarter mile. So while the car did not peform the way we expected it is because of a mechanical issue that is being addressed as we speak.
I look forward to a rematch next year!
Again I will take nothing away from the winners they won fair and square! Congrats!

We had some poor luck what with our best run of the day in the 1/4mile being a 10 but the software locking up and then not being able to dyno properly but we all finished and were winners

I can fully understand why my EVO Stage IV came in 8th. With the set up I had it makes sense. PorscheBabe said she read the article and they said that my car was not set up with all the HP I had.
I was really going to the shootout as a Street Car, not a track set up. So I am still happy with the results. Cort mentioned several times that my car was damn fast. If I had 18's with better tires and a better suspension I am confident the EVO 4GT could have been in the top 3.
If there is another shoot out it will be dialed properly.
Congrats to everyone.

Buddy,
Considering the time in which your semi prototype Stage V was assembled, you did very well. It only took me three months of replacing hoses with hard piping, upgrading the few remaining hoses to silicone, using special clamps and fiberglass reinforcing the DV hose that I couldn't buy in a higher strength silicone hose.
I look forward to hearing about it when you are finally done.

Thanks Chad, Tyson said the same thing to me at the shootout that with more development time we would work out all the bugs. That is what we are doing now, I hope we can have another shootout!
Hey, can anyone scan in a copy of the cover? The April edition is not on the newstand around here yet.
Thanks and Congrats to Tyson and Protomotive!

I went to my local Barnes and Noble's today only to find the "old" issues with the BM something car on the cover.
But I did at least find the new issues of 911 and Porsche World and the issue of Excellence with CJV's car in it... "The only problem is that this car warps time".....nasty ride Chad, cant wait for part 2.
