The "tumor" is functional indeed. It is drawing air into a recipient tank inside the car and channeling air to the turbos directly. This is a race setup used on some turbo cars, specifically the Alzen (which has been bought by a guy in Dubai) and the GT2 EDO. On a car like this one I am afraid itmight be useless.

It also seems to have been lightened quite a bit, at least it has light glass for sure, and rear lexan and I am sure CF everything else. It should be quite a fast car. Ramone, I will gladly run against him anytime if you happen to know the owner

so it's working like a pressurized airbox on a motorcycle then?

if the ducting from the hump is going to straight to the turbos, then why does the car still have the stock airbox? also, it apprears from the pic that the outlet on the turbo that should be connected to the intercooler is not connected. what is the blue pipe in the middle for? this is a confusing setup....

also, how could the hump on the red car possibly be functional? it looks too flat compared to the grey car.

Im surprised you don't want to strap a yellow one to the top of your car.
