sorry guys, a little struggling here in my mind...

my right brain tells my don't even think about it & my left brain tells me f**k it, just do it. want to know what u guys think...

saw a GT-3 at the dealer today for MSRP. the color and everything are just perfect the way i wanted it. however, according to the guy, my 02 C4S is only worth at low 60s (i know i can get better deal sell it myself, just to get a idea here.)

i'm not a big fan of narrow body Pcar, but the GT-3 is different story. i love my C4S, but i can't stop thinking that beauty i saw today. u guys probably already know what i want to ask.

is it worth to trade my car for the GT-3? (figure that i need to pay extra $50,000. sounds already stupid here )

I went through 5 cars in the last 36 months and probably saw almost $200k in depreciation because I didn't buy what I wanted in the first place - a turbo. Nothing satisfies an itch but the thing you want. If you don't buy it now, you'll buy it next year and lose another $25k in depreciation.

My recommendation is to buy it.

I would keep the c4s for now. I doubt your car is gonna go down much further in the next year. The first hit is the worst. GT3's are new and hot now....give it some time and your sell/trade deal will probably get better.

If it's truly the car you REALLY REALLY want, then just do it man... Depreciation is part of the whole game with cars. Buy them to drive them and not to worry about what they're worth I'm afriad

Have you driven it? As I've found out before, lusting after the way something looks and your perception of how it drives is different. After driving it, assuming they will let you, I think you will have a clearer understanding of how much more or less you now "need/want" it. Good luck!

It looks like the two Ken's agree. If it is what you really want deep down, then you will only waste $$ in the eventual path to get it, so buy it now and save.

lets see, what would I do...
If I reeeeeally wanted the GT3, and just did not want to fart around trying to sell the C4S, I would do it and not look back.
On the other hand, the more "practical" approach (if you can / or want to swing it) would seem to be buy the GT3 right now (spend all day Sunday driving it and then posting lots of pictures / driving impressions, etc.) and sell your privately, maybe pick up another $10K?
