I did mine the exact same way thanks to you. Not a real eye sore at all. Tim, you may be able to get away with the V1. If you put a roll cage in, Shank has a pretty trick set-up. No wires, nothing. Arrows for V1 and lidetek laser jammer in rear view mirror, V1 attached to roll cage pretty much out of site and hardwired. It is pretty sweet, you should check it out.

Why the hardwire and hiding the V1?

Is the V1 radar detector not a plug and play model, or is it not legal in CA?

You can plug and play, I simply did not want the wires hanging. In addition, I wanted the lights in my line of vision, when I need the V1 the most, I definately cannot afford to take my eyes off the road.

The V1 is with a doubt tops. I like the idea of the lights in the rear view mirror on the roll cage. Any details on that would be very appreciated.

Thanks for the info Lou. Is there any difference in effectiveness weather it is plug and play, or weather it is hardwired?

I had mine hardwired at Custom Exotica in Mountain View (650-988-1004) for $50. They did it without removing the A pillar trim. Erik did the install--very professional and conscientious.

Shankgt2 has it like that on his car. Very very cool, I saw it the other day. PM him, I am sure he will assist you.
