X50 with tip?
X50 with tip?
Im going to order a tip TTcab. Does anyone have any thoughts on the X50 with tip? Is the improved performance worth the money, or is there a better way to go without voiding the warranty?
thanks
thanks
I have the X50 Tip in my '02. I drove a vanilla TT and there was no comparision. I've had numerous P-cars and really never, knock on wood, had any engine related warranty work so I started "improving" the performance. No such thing as too much HP.

Ken,
Do you think the X50 package is worth the extra cost ($17,000), vs an ECU upgrade by say, Upsolute or whomever for much less. Ive heard some guys say the X50 isnt worth 17k...thanks for the test drive offer, but I live near New Orleans...

I also have a X50 Tip, never drive a nonX50 Tip so I really don't know the difference. But for 17k you can get much more than 35hp. The only good thing about the X50 Tip is you do get a slightly stronger tranny which should help you if you decide to upgrade beyond 600hp.

HKE46BOY, LSM - RTFQ - he didn't ask your opinion on Tips.
TestnDoc - there's plenty of info on the board of the virtues of the X50. If I had it to do over, I would still buy the X50. And I would keep the car stock. That way you have the additional power and retain the value of the car. The money all of us spend on getting the extra 100-250 hp is sunk costs - gone. But once you start, you don't stop.
