I beat my "Own" 2004 Gallardo with HEAVY aftermarket wheels (19's front & 20's rear) and lost to a buddies stock 2006 Gallardo, like I said in previus post... There is a pretty big difference between the two: Horsepower, clutch and Gearing... Trust me, I did not think it would make any difference, but I was wrong... The gearing alone had a huge part to play!

The clutches on the 04 & 05 Gallardos are weak! You cant luanch the worth **** and they feel soft at times & non responsive and slip occasionaly. The 2006 clutch and by the way I drove my buddies for almost an entire weekend 2 weeks ago is a hell of a lot better and durable and does not slip.

As far as my Supercharged 997, please remember that it has 20" wheels on it. I by no means am making excuses either way for a win against my 2004 Gallardo and a loss to a 2006 Gallardo, but 20" wheels make a difference. When EVOMS ran the 11.85 @ 120 in the car, it was done on 18" wheels with drag radials I believe (I was there, but cant remember)..... Also, Todd Zuccone was driving it and by my own admission - he is a HELL of a lot better driver than I am! One thing about me and when I race, I wil tell you if I won and I will honestly tell you when I loose- I could care less as long as it was fun to do!

And by the way , yesterday at Bradenton in Florida, a stock Gallardo SE turned a 11.89 at the Heffner Supercar Challange. Heffners own 430 Spider, which magazines put in the 11's to very low 12's driven by Heffner managed high 12's at 114.

I had a little trouble with my car, freak incident where the coolant line broke first night out from not driving it in a month on the first pull 30 degrees out, called Mark as soon as it happened, i thought it was alot worse! Anyway then i gave it over to Tom (Topgun) for his X50 car, and i will do a few runs as soon as he gives it back to me (my car is sold but the buyer here in NY wanted me to take him for an all out ride so i will just hook it up for the few runs and drive), he knows me and my car, you can even ask him how hard my car runs, all the viper guys you name it, i also tried to challenge many people to a race, Allan's friend Robi Feretti also who supposedly has lots of cars, but he backed out, ah well!
