How Can I Keep The Gt2 Tail Up?

i Have a GT2 style tail
There is any way to keep the tail up all the time ?
I know when you start the car you can press the switch for the tail manually to go up and stays there ,but after you go over 80 mph when you stop at the lights goes down again.
Any easy way to leave it up all the time?
Thank you

Im confused..if you have a gt2 wing, it should stay up at all times..so...your not making alot of sense because the gt2 wing is fixed and the only thing that goes up and down is the stock decklid on the 996 and c4s and then the cayman and boxster and than the 996tt which the top end of the tail goes up

i think he means the GT2 add on wing for the 996tt... and i don't think there is a way to keep the wing up all the time

You have to make some changes to the wiring in the deck lid.

I wired mine to stay down because it looks bad in the up position on a cab.

Put is all the way up and wire it this way.

Unplug the harness on the right side of the engine deck.
If you look at the harness from the rear, with the lock at the top;
start at the bottom row.
thick brown and thick black = fan motor
next to them a thin red/blue and brown/red =lamp
next is a single thin wire for brake light power
top row; BLANK, then first is a single wire for the brake light(signal), next a green gray spoiler switch wire, next yellow/green thick spoiler motor (positive) , next thin gray/brown spoiler switch, last thick green/blue (ground)spoiler motor.
Unplug the thick green/blue, by pulling it out of the harness (ground for motor)
jump the spoiler switch wire, thin gray/brown with a spoiler power thick yellow/green. did it by using a paper clip
No light no hot spoiler motor wires

Good luck.

PorschePHD,

This setup will work to keep the wing down too right? I still get the "spoiler control failure" light. Maybe I'm not jumping the wires correctly.

You need to make sure you kill the power to the motor, yes it should work in the down position as well.

That would mean I need to jump the wires properly right?
