Stealth radar installs?

Anyone have any stealth radar installs, especially the valentine1? Ive heard that you can have the radar detection display show up on your dash on in your rear view mirror? Anyone have pics, and where did you have the installation done?? Thanks

This is one of the best I've ever seen - The Taxibutton!

Works perfect in a car like the RS6, the Police might become suspicious if you have a Taxi-button in your Porsche. LOL!

http://www.beastpower.com might be able to help as well.

Disabling the V1 is prob one of the worst things you can do - I had this done and so did duane and we will both tell you when we plugged a v1 into the lighter and stuck it on the dash it worked 10000% better than the stealth install. Must be something to do with opening the unit up - dont waste your money just stick it on the window or visor - my .02

Here are a couple pics of my custom K40 setup. Despite the naysayers, I have always had good luck with K40.....and have been using it in all of my cars for the last 5 years. The laser diffuser has saved me more than a few times!!

This is a picture of the Front and Rear LED indicator lights.....with the front being under the '0' on the tach and the rear being under the '8'. If both lights illuminate in a certain manner, it indicates a laser attack!

This is a picture of where the On/Off, City/Highway, and volume control **** is located....

Almost forgot.......the light which indicates if the city or highway mode is selected is hidden in the center air vent.

Here's my V1 hardwired, clipped to headliner support (so no suction cup marks on windshield)

The remote display mounted on steering column, which is the perfect location to easily look down at it. Those mirrors don't buy you anything, since you still need to mount the main unit high on the windshield, which will be just to the side of the mirror.

I did the stealth install. The link will show a picture of the mirror and the volume/ on-off switch that was put in the knockout next to the headlight controls. The guts are in the headliner right behind the front seats. I had it installed in Northern NJ.

Can someone clarify stealth install vs hardwired remote install? I have my main unit hardwired and the remote display on my instrument panel as Poursha above. Do I lose detection from that type of install?

The Valentine site states that the windheild blocks 78% of the speed laser beam. There might be significant gains if you could get the laser reciever on the front of the car somewhere.

Were you referring to my question? I didn't open my rader, I don't think. I don't think it needs to be opened to be hardwired.
