I raced a trans am awhile back and he went to an f-body forum and started popping off at the mouth. Needless to say everyone over there wants to race me now in there built race cars for money. Ofcourse that would be foolish of me to do because my car is not one dimensional like there's. So I actually have a guy with a 10 sec 1/4 camaro z28 challange me to run for best time at the autobahn in IL. His comment was he is going to make me look bad getting beat by a car that was meant for the straights.

 

Talk is cheap, That is the Muscle car mentality at it's best. No matter what a Porsche is a special car that does everything well, I don't think givin equal driver that a camaro would out perform a Porsche, just my opinion

 

So....in the end he will still drive (or trailer) his f-body home and you will be in your Porsche. It's always some faster and for some losing is hard to take just let him know "jealously is a female trait".

 

Not to mention that his 10 sec. 1/4 mile car was more than likely performed at the track, Lets see him pull that off on an un-prepared surface (like everyroad we drive on) thats when AWD really shines

 

Don't under estimate the f-body performers. True, your Porsche shouldn't have a problem containing him, per say, there is though that small chance, that this f-body might be a tough cookie. If he know's of Autobahn, and has been there before i would seriously try and find out stuff about his car. Especially if he is a member. Membership at ABCC, isn't cheap, and no one would seriously waste all the money to join ABCC if their car isn't a carver...

 

Who cares if he can out run you in 1\4 mile. Remember...you are driving a porsche! He drives a camaro! He probably has a mullet and blasts Def Leppard while driving with his t-tops off. haha...j/k. I had a camaro when I was a kid too.

tell him to meet you at a local road course and see if the car can turn or stop!!
I wouldnt "race" any fool on a street especially without helmets and HANS devices, your life is worth more (opps sorry I'm a trauma surgeon so no flaming)
