Have you guys heard about this supposed loophole for paying speeding tickets?

Is it true that when you get a speeding ticket, and you pay a little over the amount that you are cited, somehow, it throws the clerk into a loop since they have to refund you the difference and your points can not be added to your insurance yet?? Or something along those lines??

Have any of you guys heard about this?

I have heard of this as well. My understanding is that you pay a couple of bucks over and never cash the refund check. The situation can't be "closed" until their check has been cashed.

I have never tried it though, so ... just a urban legend ... maybe.

deetz: too many...I was step 35 until two weeks ago...been behaving for the last 3 years so am back to step 14 now
