Todd is installing a new GT30 kit, ATS triple clutch, intercoolers, etc. We're staying with the stock motor for now, so we are expecting whp to be limited to the low-mid 600 range. I have yet to even see the car, so I can't wait until Todd is finished! It should see plenty of street racing, so I'll be sure to post vids when available. Look forward to meeting some of you guys in the future. Last but not least, thanks to Sharky for the F110 wheels, carbon pieces, etc. You're advice was instrumental in this project!

Oh what's the general consensus on a carbon fiber hood? Hit or skip?

Sorry for the low res....
Hey man.. my pleasure and anytime! You actually got one of the very last sets before ze take-over

I was going to Email you back.. the issue with the CF hood is the fitment is usually very poor. I'd say nay...

Maybe on some aftermarket copies, but the factory CF hood fits just fine on the 996 GT3RS's.

I have one supplied by Ruf and it fitted perfectly in about 30 seconds, just bolted straight on and lined up fine. Only issue is that the hood is so light it raises too quickly, which is why the GT3RS only had one gas hood-strut instead of the usual two.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Sounds like a skip on the cf hood.

As for street racing scene around my area in Cleveland, this car won't hang with most of the crowd I hang out with, but at least it'll be one of the nicer cars in the lot

I'm planning on picking it up later this month.

Nice battery setup. I like the idea of moving the battery forward and low in the nose. Does anyone make a kit to do this? Any drawbacks?

Wait a minute, wait a minute...did you just say that a 600 plus rwhp Protomotive tuned GT2 won't hang w/ most of the street racers in Cleveland?

You must be joking, yes? I mean, I have been to Cleveland....you will have one of the fastest cars there....or anywhere for that matter.

Nope. Compared to bolt-on cars, a modded GT2 would hang with some. So I guess it's all your perspective.
