When to change plugs?

How often are you guys changing your plugs?

When boosting 1.3 Bar and higher, should the plugs be changed more often?

My car is now just over 28K miles; a 2001. I've changed plugs twice.....first time around 15K miles. This last time I had the 30K mile service done at GMG; a sponsor on this board. They also recommended and used the upgraded heat range plugs, I can't recall the spec/name but it's been discussed on the board.

On a high-boost (or nearly any turbo car) the short answer is; yes, change them more frequently.

And it's not a trivial job, so also consider changing the plugs
whenever the car is being worked on in a way that you've
already done most of the work to expose them.

2001's (like mine) came with Beru #5's which do not tolerate high boost well.

Now Porsche spec for all years is the #6. Several brands are used. The

ones you get from your Porsche dealer seem fine. Others like the Bosch.
