I just got mine in the mail as well, and it doesn't work on my home theater DVD system either. It's in PAL (European) format, not NTSC (USA), so you need to play it in your PC, and choose region 2.

The NTSC version will be released later in the States. That is what I am waiting for. I would appreciate feedback as to how it is though!!

I have a Toshiba DVD player which plays multi format DVDs, NTSC, PAL, and I think Secam.

They are only around $200 for multi format DVD players, great if you watch euro or asian dvds.

The problem with playing a region encoded DVD in your computer is that there are a finite number of times you can change the region code in the DVD drive and/or most player apps. I think this app doesn't have that restriction: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Getting a region free DVD player as 02TT_87GNX suggests would probably work for this DVD. Unfortunately there are some DVDs out that will not play on a region free player as studios try and lock down who can and can't play their products.

Went to the premiere in L.A. - it's pretty entertaining, even if you did not participate!

I was at the premiere as well and have to agree, it was quite entertaining. I almost got Mr. Fred's autograph.

The premiere was a blast. Driving to from CEC to the Chinese Theater in full Gumball garb was like being in the Gumball I may not be able to go this year due to opening a new business, but look out next year. Hopefully in my new car

For those that haven't had a chance to see the movie, get a copy as soon as you can... I watch certain scenes over and over on my computer work
