So let me see...DMK's car is faster than Markski's ???? HMMM.
I for one do not believe the numbers. Nothing against anyone.
I thought my car felt fast and did my 60-130 mph at 10.9 seconds
try this math out:
DMK was running mostly low 11's and a few high 10's quarter mile.
With a strong 60' you can run almost 3 flat to 60 mph.
that leaves you about 8 seconds to get to the end of the quarter
(which was around 130). This is not exact but you are not going to delete
2 seconds from these quarter mile runs (the 60-130 part of it) by starting
out in 4th gear and not in the sweet part of any torque curve.
Can someone explain this for me?
thoughts??

The run was clearly done with no shifts. Can a stock gearbox do a 60-130 in 3rd.NO. Mark has determined that his 8200rpm car can only do 127 in 3rd. Therefore this must have been done in 4th or have non stock gears or ring and pinion. Others have claimed there isnt enough power to do that in 4th with stock gears.
DMK's gearbox is 100% stock. The run was done in 4th gear and NOT 3rd. 4th gear will do over 130 MPH with stock gearing, thus no shifts. Not enough HP to run 6.15 sec 60-130... I disagree. I have run consecutive 6.15 second runs and numerous other 6.3 sec runs in that car. Additionally, I ran RenntechV12's GT700 GT2 --(full weight car) @ 6.5 seconds in 4th gear and can do it again anytime as well as in DMK's car. Anyone in AZ want to join me?
Regarding DMK's GT700. It is a full GT700 with our intercoolers and 23 PSI of boost in race mode. His car has GT3 seats, OEM roll bar and no rear seats. It has a full GTS body upgrade and no bumper supports (40-50 pound savings). Calling it a "lightweight" car, I dont think so. We just tested his car again and it makes ~ 650 RWHP and 660 RWTQ. I mentioned to you when we spoke that I thought it was about 700 RWHP but I was not sure.
IT DOES NOT MAKE 800+ HP which is what the perception is. Scott posted "800+HP" based on the numbers it ran as compared to other higher HP cars times. The reason it performs well is because the power under the curve and the fact there is little lag.

I am not trying to hijack, just want clarify.

From RAC's website:
Engine Kit 996 Rturbo 550 bhp, an addition of
130 PS / 96 KW, consisting of two turbos, sports
exhaust with catalytic converters, air filters and fine tuned
engine electronics.
