Estimated Price for GT2 Wing/Decklid Paint and Install...???

How much should this job cost ? I don't have any idea and don't want to get ripped off. Anyone done this before or know how much a job like this should cost ? I just want them to paint and install the wing and decklid.

Would really like to hear from those who have done it already. Thanks in advance

Anywhere from 500-2000$ depending on the wing and the amount of prep needed, don't forget the wire harness(340$) and the seal for the deck. Can get pricey, the aftermarket stuff tends to need alot more finish work than oem.GL

The GT2 wing is fixed(won't go up/down), will result in a fault code. You need either the aerokit harness or the GT2 harness.

The wire harness is for the rear wing.. you need one on the 996 when you change the wing (or disable it).

Ramone: if you are in UAE; it should be considerably cheaper for paint/install .. if you already have the parts it should run anywhere between 300 - 1000$

I had a misha gt2 wing once, before I got an aerokit(oem), the quality was pretty good, but still needed a fair amount of work. They all do(even oem, usually less). You will need the aero harness, I'll dig up the pn if you really need one, there are three possibilities ranging in price from 50-350$ from porsche(depending on third brake light). This allows the ecu to not read a spoiler deployment error when you hit 70mph and nothing goes up. Just remember the oem GT2 wing sits at a different ht and angle of attack than your aftermarket version, that might have aerodynamic consequences at high speed. Be sure you match it with an appropriate front splitter to balance out the AD, or else it might get a little wild.GL

Why isn't the Misha Wing made to stock GT2 specs ie. hieght and angle

Also is the AD issue really that much of an issue for street or more for track....?

Also do I really need a front splitter to "balance things out". As I recall the OEM GT2 front bumper doesn't have a front splitter...

The GT2 actually does have a draft reducing splitter as well, more' built in'. Some guys have added the aerokit front lip with the larger aftermarket wing with some success.
Just look at the two wings side by side sometime, significant difference.
AD-wise , on the street, minimal instability, but noticable in my experience.
The misha is a good product, just be sure and research exactly what you're gonna need ahead of time. GL

ramone , Chris had my GT2M wing on his C4S . That wing is made to fit on C2 and C4S and it is different then factory GT2 decklid/wing.

For 996TT I have my GT2 add-on wing and Now I have exact replica of factory GT2 decklid/wing.

PM or email me if you are interested.
