Battery Replacement

I have an 02 Turbo and I got a new battery from Checker but its slightly longer than stock battery so the bolt to hold it in the tray doesn't fit. Is there any place besides the dealer to get the correct sized battery?

I just replaced mine one month ago with a slightly bigger one from Sears. All you have to do is get a nut/bolt combo similar in thickness to the stock bolt that threads into the body. If you take the battery tray out with 4 nuts, you will see there are 3 holes that accept the stock bolt to secure the metal clip for the passenger side of the battery. There is one more hole which is unthreaded but if you put the bolt up through that hole before securing the battery tray back in, the clip should line up well for the larger battery. All you have to do then is put the nut on the part of the bolt that now sticks up through the tray and the clip.

Im running a yellow top! GMGracing.com has a tray mount but your best bet is to take the tray under the battery out and directly mount the yellow top battery to the existing tray. GMG charged 275 or soemthign for that tray whihc is rediculous IMO
