How much have you spent on mods?

I'm curious to find out how much we've spent on modding our cars so far. I'll break it down into two categories:

1. Performance mods: Engine components, suspension, gears, brakes, performance wheels (wheels that are lighter & stronger than stock), rollcages, axles, RWD conversions, SSK's, lightweight seats, etc...

2. Aesthetic/Audio mods: Bodykits, larger/heavier wheels that are primarily for looks, stereo systems, etc...

You can select one price range for each category. Oh, and no worries...it's an anonymous poll.

If I said and my wife every read this, I would have to sleep in
my new GT3 seats for a long time...

In my old 993TT I spent $20K in mods (all motor, and suspension) in 6 months

I will keep the average down, at least for now. Under 10K now hopefully around 20, in the next few months. All performance. Oh wait I have about $70 in cosmetics--- from bumper plugs.

How about 75k+ and 100k+ for performance?
Seems like there are quite a few that are up in the 6 digits.

Unfortunately, I ran out of poll options. I make make another poll when this one is done. But out of 14 voters so far, only 2 are above $50k.

I wouldn't even want to think about just my two current sports cars. Can you imagine the lifetime number? For some of us older guys, I'd just rather not know.

I look back at a few of them, including at least one of the current ones, and wonder how did I end up with this much in this car? But it's always like eating an elephant. One bite at a time . . .
