Hey guys thanks for telling me about the go kart track.

I went for the first time also.

Because of my friend I got down there around 4:30pm.

I had a good time with my best lap being 23.780.

I will go again so I can improve my times. I feel good that I beat my

friend. I don't think he was happy about that.

joey or drew have you been there yet when Billy T was there, lol He's sick I was out there with him last time trying to follow his line he is rediculous. He left me, but i did manage to pull out a 22.6 and a 23.0* average lap time.

We deff need to get back out to MA sept not bringing Andrew he makes us all look bad.

Speak for yourself . I've actually been there when Billy T was racing, and I didn't do to well as it was one my first sessions

Apperntly they added like 40lbs to the back of the cart to see if it really mattered a lot and the kid was still barley a tenth off.

Thats actually something i was curious about...the weight of the driver compared to others. I mean, im not a fatazz or anything but im tippin the scales at about 195 these days......so are little kids that weight like 120 really at a huge advantage over me?

Id like to know before i start betting them for their lunch money! jk jk

Hey guys, next time you get a group together for Mid-Atlantic, I am definately in... I have probably spent too much time and money there already... but, it is too much fun...

And I'm calling you out again MIKE... Want you on the track again, I be in a junior kart this time... LOL

Well, simple physics says that the more you weigh, the more it takes to overcome intertia to get you (and your cart) moving... however, you'll have added momentum once you're up to speed. The thing you have to remember is to slow down rather than slide, as sliding will slow you down too much, making it necessary to get back up to speed. After a few more sessions you will be comfortable enough to get a bit more aggressive and work on the technical aspects of the course.

Or just do what you feel is right... . The weight difference isn't actually very important because the carts are gasoline powered and fast. Arnold's electric sleds were affected drastically by weight, but it's almost negligible at Mid Atlantic.
