Ride in a fast Turbo
Ride in a fast Turbo
Stopped by RPM racing and went for a ride in a very stock-looking 2001 Turbo. The only thing that wasn't stock was the springs AND the engine. The owner of the car said it's HP was in the 700's and we broke traction in all 4 wheels on hard acceleration. It has Garrett BB turbos and a fair number of other engine related mods. The thing was downright scary. The stock Pirellis were almost bald and the roads are cold so I'm sure it will hook up alot better shortly with new tires. It's probably too much for the street but he does track the car. He said it will be further modded by cracking the engine for internals and bigger Turbos. They were also putting the finishing touches on a beautiful 997 C4S all blacked out with a supercharger said to be in the low to mid 500's. Black Tech-Art wheels, totally black tail-lights and an aero-kit looking wheel. It certainly was the best-looking 997 I've seen.

Let's go for a ride tomorrow though, havent driven the car in weeks
I had the owner of the silver car drive mine to see what slow was like
I really didn't want to drive his though b/c it seemed like a handfull. Then again, I wouldn't have gotten on it like he did under similar conditions. I don't think I'll be catching any engine/turbo mod bugs by going there b/c I hardly get to use what power I have. I'll look over in the 997 section for the black car's owner b/c it looked pretty much finished and maybe he will have a write up.
