GT2 Wing cheap on ebay!!!!
Hey guys, so what's the verdict on this guys, it seems to be all over the place which really doesn't make sense to me??? Another thing that I'm curious about is whether or not its even safe to put his wing on a car that your planning on going 180mph+ from a seller who obviously hasn't tested his products in any way?? If this was made by a reputable company I think I would have more faith in the product like a tech art wing.

I know its not a perfect example but I was watching a formula one race last year and the car lost its wing and it went on an extreme spin and crashed hard!! the driver had no chance. The Gt2 ad on wing that the guys are talking about is fairly large and I think it will provide a lot of downforce but I think if that wing is not perfectly manufactured (not symetrical on all sides, wrong diameters for height and width, etc...) I would tend to think that would hurt the handling or perhaps even make the car controllable???

I think if you're just looking for an aesthetic upgrade (as I was), then the lower-cost eBay route is a very viable option.

Hey George,
You are in my area, so you should come out to our Saturday morning meet and check the wing out on my car. I bought it from this guy and think that its a great buy for the money. I hit 160 (shh) on 476 and the wing stayed on. Shoot me a PM or email if you would like to see the wing in person. Or, check out our thread in the Events section of this board.

Downforce?
Guys-
I don't want to start a riot, but I don't know if I believe these spoiler wings are truly creating ANY significant "downforce." I know almost all advertisements suggest that, but again skeptical that's true.
What I do believe is that these spoilers "reduce lift." If I'm splitting hairs, forgive me, because I'm not a qualified physicist. However, it's my belief that most of Porsche's design creates their bona fide "downforce" from our 996TT's undertray, diffusers and other ground effects.
Having only yesterday finally gotten my wing on (my car's still in a million pieces, getting sideskirts and laser diffusers put back on amongst other work), I haven't had a chance to test it out.
I can say however, it looks fantastic. I'll try to post pics later.
