Engine hesitates when hitting 1.3 - 1.5 bar
My tuner is Autodynamica out of Houston.
The hesitation I'm feeling is sorta like letting up on the accelarator and pressing it down again. I can also see the rpms falling, then rising during the hesitation.
Question...... If I blew my plugs, would the car still run as smoothly as it is running right now up to 1.0 bar? The hesitation only occurrs when I go WOT and boost reaches 1.3+ bar.

YES that is the symptom.... liek I said u blew ur plugs running upgraded springs that were not properly adjusted.... u will keep blowing plugs if u dont get it fixed.
learn fast how to change plugs casue it will set u back $600 a shot...

I'm pretty sure the ECU shuts down the fuel when you hit 1.5 bar.
If I'm not mistaken they have to add a resistor or something to a boost sensor somewhere when exceeding 1.5 bar.
Mine does this in certain weather also, it has to do with making to much boost. I'm going to have to dial back the wastegates (evo upgraded units) so they open up more/sooner.
I figure your plugs are fine. Like I said on some days depending on the weather I have the same problem. I still am seeing 1.3-1.4 bar when it's running right which is to much for my tune and I have to dial it back to max at 1.2 (to run over this you need more fuel (pressure) and chances are your lean at WOT which is bad).

UPDATE: For those of you who diagnosed the spark plugs (particularlly Markski)....... you were RIGHT! I changed the plugs this afternoon (4.5 hours of intimately getting to know my X50) and took it for a drive. No more hesitation and the car pulls strong all the way to redline. Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.
I just did Stage 2 to my 03 TT, (EVO DV's and GIAC flash) on the drive home tonight at/near TOW and 1.2 BAR, I experienced what I thought was the wastegate opening and the dumping of boost. The car was still pulling hard up to this point, at this point the car stopped pulling (no real hesitation per-say). My question is what does it feel like when the actuators open and do their job ??
Since my car still has stock gates I would figure that they would be set to open a little lower boost level then upgraded/poorly adjusted actuators. I read the comments about plugs and moving up to 6's but I thought that Porsche changed the OEM plugs for 03.

Yup, http://www.durametric.com/ here I come.
After reading a bunch of posts, it looks like it probably spark plug related (to lean condition from poorly/incorrectly adjusted acuator arms), but I have two questions.
I thought that the actuators (still stock) would kick in at about 1 bar (+/-) anyway which would mean I needn't worry about actuator adjustments or am I just confused ??
I also thought that in 03 OEM plugs were already the hotter range 6 plugs ?? Or with the flash am I in for a life of "blown plugs" ??

Do you have the X50? If not, boosting 1.2 on K16s is way too high. You are going to blow your plugs for sure (amoung other things). You need to change your plugs. If you have the K24s, 1.2 is the maximum boost to stay within safe limits. Anything higher and you will trigger the throttle retard and/or blow your plugs.
Once I changed the plugs and re-adjusted my wastegates, the car ran flawlessly. That is, until I changed the exhaust, headers, boost hoses and to a K&N filter. Now I have hesitation and sputtering at lower rpms and am throwing a P1250 code. The funny thing is that the car will drive without hesitation/sputtering if I accelerate slowly, without generating any boost. But once the boost starts to build up, I hear what sounds like the release of boost and the car starts to hesitate/sputter. I think I might have blown a hose or one is loose somewhere.
