Newbie Question

Hey everyone..

I just removed the factory nav setup in my 01 996TT, for sale btw. I instaleed a Eclipse AVN5500. Looks and works great. Problem is now the clock on the dash next to the speedo resets itself to 3am every morning I leave to work. So the car is obviously off and not sure if it has a memory wire or something connected to the old unit? Also when I push the button in to set the clock, it goes to the hour, then i turn it and it will turn the minute and hour each click. So where before you would set the hour and push it in to set the minute, it does this.. Hour minute hour minute. Does not matter what I do...

any help or guidance from the stereo gods is appreciated.

esemes is infamous around these parts
I had a clock issue too. (when i replaced the batt).

i just did a "reset" by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and then it returned to normal operation.

yeah that was not the problem.... Everytime the key is pulled out, the dash lights stay on as normal. Then they go off, when you put the key back in, the clock comes on flashing????
