Small rant, need some advice...

Hey guys,

Well in short, when i purchased my 01 TT here in my local dealership, it was adverticed and i bought the car as a CPO. My gearshift is messed up, and its stuck in first. So today at 7:00 i called Porsche road side assistance to come get the car. Bill from PRSA said my car wasen't showing as a CPO, he said he will call the dealership in half and hour when they open, to get the info. I said thats fine. Anyways, in short, he calls the dealer and they said the car is not CPO ... anyways i told them i would pay out of pocket just to come get the car, and i'll take care of it later with the dealer.....any advice on what the heck happen here ? i feel like i got screwed up the ***

If the car was advertised as CPO and you have it in writing bring the paper with you and gently ask them to stand by their words. If it's not in writing you will have to work harder to get them to honor their words and you might not succeed. But either way be polite and friendly but firm. And always ask them what they recommend and why. You never know what the might offer. Good luck.

f1 -- I was hoping it was ust a delay in the CPO "paperwork" -- which I experienced after I bought my CPO car; but if the dealer is denying the CPO, then I hope you have the CPO status in writing to support your claim (I had mine written on the bill of sale). Some dealers will advertise a car as "Pre-certified" -- meaning it has gone throught the tech inspection, and when asked will tell you it costs more for the CPO warranty itslef. I hope that's not the case for you. Good luck.
