Thicker Steering Wheel option? Worth it?

My buddy is looking to order the TT-Cab and asked me if I know what the Thicker Steering Wheel option was. Well besides the obvious (a thicker steering wheel) I have no idea what it looks like. Does anyone have a TT with this option and if so would you post some pics? Thanks guys!!

Here's a pic of the thicker steering wheel. It's not my car. I think it looks as thick as the BMW M3 and M5 steering wheels. If you like a beefier feel, then the thicker wheel is a nice option, but a liittle pricey!

Anyone got a side by side or does anyone know what the option code is for it? Not sure but my wheel certainly looks thicker than others I've seen...

It's kinda hard to see in this picture, but I have it on my new TT Cab.

I like it so much better than the normal wheel on my TT coupe that I am trying to get a CPZ wheel from Gert to put on in place of the normal wheel in the coupe as well.

They are in VERY short supply, and it may take up to 6 weeks for Gert to get his hands on one for me. I'll gladly wait with great anticipation.

Correct.

Carbon, wood, and aluminum looks are conflicting options in the order guide.
