First track day. Moroso Speedway. PCA event. Jan 2007

My very first instructor. Doesn't he have a nice car?

The first of many track days to come. Ya I'm addicted.

Then - after safety, suspension. Here we get into a little delema: How much compromise are you willing to make on street comfort to gain track capabilities. Spring rate, double adjustables, then even solid mount monoballs.
Last, but only last, horsepower.
IMHO YMMV

I'm also in the middle of ordering a pair of GT3 Cup car air ducts for the brakes. My rotors are looking awefully bad after only 4 track days.
My suspension already seems rock hard. I'm not sure if the previous owner had done anything to it. Its not lowered but I don't feel any significant transitional motion from the chasis in the corners. On the street the ride is extremely firm. I really feel every small bump in the road.
I agree with waiting for adding horsepower. All the cars that pass me in my division do so with better driving, not more horsepower.

I like the R3 for H&NR

as it "goes with you" instead of relying on the in-car system to hold you down. This make it easier to jump into a car to take a ride and still know you're protected.
+1 on the brake ducts - these cars are heavy and take a lot to haul them down in braking.
What pads are you using, and how did you bed them in? Could be an answer to your rotor issues - we're having a similar conversation here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=74391
Take a look at the suspension - stock is undersprung - you sound like there has been something done. Gotta find out what.
+1 on the "fixing the driver" instead of the car...

Carbon Fiber - very light. It straps to you - barely know it's on.
Great for instructors who have to jump into anyones car. Maybe even a three point belt - but the R3 works even in this case.

Above link - $995
It's specific to you, not the car. Some recommend the "pad" that goes in the back to cushion around the device spine to level out the upper back - I don't need it, it feels fine just as it is.
